ABOUT US:
We are a small hobby kennel although we do not
actually have a "kennel". We've owned Labs since our first
boy, "Jake" in 1983.
 |
| "Baby Jake" |
It was through Jake that we fell in love with
the Labrador breed. Many years later with our 4 children grown we
were able to concentrate on our "4 footed kids"
Our labs all live in the house with us as part of our family. When
they aren't out running in the farm fields adjacent to our house
they can be found on our couch or at our feet...or waiting for dinner.
Our Labs enjoy swimming in our pool or just lounging on the
porch.

Our areas of interest are conformation and obedience.
We breed with the purpose of improving our kennel and keeping a
pup to show. Occasionally we have puppies available to loving homes
for companionship. Before any breeding takes place both the Dam
and Sire are cleared for hip dysplasia through OFA
Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. Eyes are cleared CERF CERF
- Canine Eye Registration Foundation by a board certified canine
opthomologist. Dr. Riis from Cornell checks our girls annually.
Because we are concerned with over population of pets most of our
puppies are sold on AKC
Limited Registration.
The puppies are whelped in our home with the dining room becoming
a temporary nursery. We've owned and operated an office furniture
and supply business for the past 30 years and being self-employed
allows Ann to be home full time for at least 2 months with the pups.
They receive daily socialization and cuddling and visits from neighbors
and children. The puppies are exposed to a noisy household with
TV, music, and vacuum cleaner. In warmer weather they are outside
a couple times a day for supervised play. In cold weather their
play area is our sun room. All puppies are temperament tested to
ensure a match with their new families.
Each puppy goes home with a puppy packet that contains their AKC
papers, pedigree, health clearances of the sire and dam, a copy
of the book, What All Good Dogs Should Know, baby pictures
and record of their first immunizations and vet check. We're always
available to help with any questions or problems that might arise.
We enjoy hearing from our pups' new families and love to see pictures!
